Overview 

The  WinterLeague is a weekly smallbore rifle league. The league meets on the following days and ranges:

• Monday: Boulder Rifle Club

Sessions

We will meet on Monday nights from the beginning of October through the end of March. The range will open at 5:15pm. First session starts at 5:30pm. Second session starts at 6:30pm. During each session shooters fire 4 strings of 10 shots on the A36 target with .22 rifles using subsonic ammunition. We provide the targets, you provide the rest of the gear. Shooters may choose their combination of positions, and either scopes or iron sights are acceptable. 

We award prizes at our annual banquet for the classes listed below. You’re also welcome to come out, even if you do not want to bother with the scores; the more the merrier. This is a great way to keep your eye up during the winter, getting ready for hunting, or just having fun punching some holes in targets. There is no formal coaching, but some limited coaching could be arranged for new shooters. Cost for range fees and prizes is $40 per half, $80 for the full season.

Classes

You can shoot only 4 positions towards each score. You MUST shoot the same positions each week. These are the classes we are using:  

• Silhouette: 4 Standings
• Biathlon: 3 Standings + 1 Prone
• Highpower: 2 Standings + 1 Prone + 1 Sit/Kneel
• Smallbore: 1 Standings + 1 Prone + 2 Sit/Kneel
• Prone: 4 Prones
